An innovation in Development and Empowerment Alternatives (IDEA) is a Non-Government trust. IDEA offers a wide range of academic solutions to make individual better informed and equipped. The trust is offering innovative interventions in the field of education and innovations.

As a project coordinator, a three months pilot project “Mera Bills” financial literacy experimented in District Shivpuri, MP with SRLM team.

Worked for Shivansh Grameen Vikas Samiti, Nainital and revived the structure to take up new initiatives. At the same time provided 3 months consultancy services to United Way Delhi for “Samriddhi Project” with the objective to provide financial literacy to 500 women and developed 50 women entrepreneurs.

Handled following two major projects in Shivansh Gramin Vikas Samiti:

  • Central Government Project- ‘Ambedkar Hastshilp Vikas Yojana’. Under the AHVY scheme, we have worked with 500 rural artisans, linkage with Handicraft Department, Completed Base line survey, artisan’s access to artisan cards and benefit of insurance scheme. Provided entrepreneurial skills, bank knowledge, Bheem app, Marketed their product through   Common facility center and promoted artisans to participate in different fairs. 
  • Disaster Management Programme: Received a project from State Government, Disaster Management Authority Nainital to train 41 Youth and Mahila Mangal dal on Natural Disaster Management. We have conducted training to Youth Mangal Dal and Mahila Mangal Dal. Its going on project but due to lock down the trainings have been stopped. During this time the artisans made masks and face cover and the NGO distributed masks among all the artisans.

 

  1. @ Vayam Renewable Ltd. Sister company of BASIX, New Delhi

 

About the organization:

Vayam Renewable Energy Ltd. is three years old Rs 8.3 million company with outreach to about 5000 households. Vayam, started its operations in 3 clusters, namely North India covering UP/UTK/Rajasthan, Central India covering Bihar and Jharkhand, and Eastern India covering Bengal, Meghalaya and Manipur. Vayam has launched multipurpose portable light, micro grid and solar water pump solutions project to the existing customers.

During this year Vayam recorded a sales of slightly over Rs 1 crore and booked a marginal profit. 

Responsibility:

My responsibilities include mobilization of farmers/share croppers/tenant framers to address their critical needs of irrigation and water management. For this I have visited villages and educate the farmers and their collectives about the significance of optimum water utilization for the agriculture practices. Regular sensitization and awareness workshops are held with the community. After installation of water management devices, regular hand holding is provided to them. For this farmers need be organized to FIG, JLG, FPO, etc. I was leading the team of 2 district of Bihar.

  • I have been involved in Vayam activities form April, 2015 did research work of the company empanelment with MNRE, understood the NABARD model.
  • Under Vayam, from 1st June, 2015, as a manager lead the Solar Water Pump Project of 12 pumps. 10 pumps successfully installed.
  • MIS formats designed by me.
  • Coordinated the field team along with the technical team.
  • Mobilized 10 VLE and around 100 farmers in Bihar for solar irrigation pumps.
  • Monitored Rural Spark 90 women entrepreneurs to do solar lighting business in off-grid area of Bihar.
  • A solar micro grid successfully installed in Gaya, Bihar. 43 direct beneficiaries. MIS designed by me.
  • All project reports drafted by me.

About the organization:

BASIX is a livelihood promotion institution established in 1996, working with over a 3.5 million customers, over 90% being rural poor households and about 10% urban slum dwellers. BASIX works in 27 states of India including 39,251 villages of 223 districts.

Indian Grameen Services (IGS),  It is a section 25 not for profit company which is engaged in development and training related to livelihoods. IGS affiliated to the BASIX Social Enterprise Group, is working in various interventions across the country.

 

I managed the Projects under IGS:

1-Small Farmers’ Agribusiness Consortium (SFAC) in 15 states both NVI and Pulses

2-Banking on Change Programme,

3-Solar Energy programme

 

Responsibility:

  • Small Farmers’ Agribusiness Consortium (SFAC):
  • Coordinated 15 state and align them with SFAC. Monitored timely reporting and document submission to SFAC.
  • Banking on Change (BOC):
  • BOC Project was implemented by Plan India, supported by Barclay Bank and IGS provided Consultancy for the project for two years. Under IGS my responsibilities were:
  • To develop module for women federation and imparted training on the same.
  • To do coordination among the Plan India, Baliga Trust and IGS.
  • Conducted FGD & Social audit under the project.
  • Mobilize women to be a member of federation. 10,000 women have taken federation membership.
  • Organize SHG Mela and buyers and sellers meet for SHG members.
  • Given them awareness on current government schemes. Organized gender, skill and health camps for women.
  • To monitor the project and support the team for end line survey.

After two years the federation was able to move themselves with the funding help of plan India.

  • Solar Energy: The project was funded by Arc finance. I have coordinated the project with the partnership of d.light and Schneider.700 village community have been benefited from solar lights and improved their quality of life.

 

  1. @ BASIX Consulting and Training Ltd.:

 

Basix Consulting and Training Ltd. is also sister company of BASIX and handles all consultancy project in PAN- INDIA.  Initially the BOC project undertaken to give consultancy services form Basix Consulting and Training Ltd. 

BOC 2 years 2010-2012) Project had partnership with Barclays Bank & AV Baliga Trust (Local NGO Partner of Plan India); the project was located Mongolpuri Resettlement Colony, New Delhi, India. The project Direct Beneficiaries were 10,000 women and Indirect Beneficiaries: 60,000 (dependents of women SHG members assuming average family size of 6 persons)

Goal: To improve the economic security and quality of life of women and children in disadvantaged through microfinance interventions.

 

Responsibility:

As a consultant for ‘Banking on Change Project’ (BOC) my responsibility was:

  • Implemented base line survey, imparted training to 16 surveyors on survey questionnaire.
  • Trained 16 field staff to implement the project.
  • Done Analysis of existing groups and designed the strategy through which the group can be sustained. Hence did action research on sub group.
  • Designed training schedule and modules for women SHG, on process of forming SHG to bank linkage. 8 modules have been developed and imparted training on the same.
  • Mobilized 10,000 women for their Social and economical empowerment. Worked with many social issues of migrant women. E.g. identity problem, rent, water issues, voting issues, school admission of children, employment, SHG drop out issues and family disputes etc.
  • Designed SHG minutes book, credit book and pass books as per the project requirement.
  • Developed training modules on financial literacy and SHG for them and organized social meets and problem solving meeting for them. Organized bankers meet. Organized RBI awareness programmes to shot out banking problems.
  • Develop training module on cluster and mobilized 25 SHGs in a clusters. Total 6 clusters developed.
  • Mobilized women to attend literacy programmes, banker meets, video shows, street plays and exposure programme which had been organized to motivate them. As a result women fought for their wages in a collective manner and got success.
  • Developed 50 leaders form the area.
  • Supported MED team for micro-enterprise.

 

  1. @ Shivansh Grameen Vikas Samiti:

 

About the organization:

Shivansh is a Non-Government Organization registered under the act 1860 and a grass root level organization located in Nainital.

Responsibility:

Joined Organization as a secretary and as CEO handled the following responsibilities:

  • Capacity Building Programmes from NABARD, 45 days Bamboo craft training for 25 general and minority women.
  • 15 days Design workshop for women artisan from Handicraft Department, New Delhi, for 30 women artisans.
  • Implemented Clean and Healthy Environment Project under legal holder ship with Suchetna, Uttarakhand. Under that project 30 vermin compost units and environmental awareness has been provided to the community.
  • Monitored 30 SHGs including 5 field level staff, Linked 300 women artisans to Handicraft Department, 22 Rajiv Gandhi Health Card made available and 120 women Artisan has access to Jan Shri Bima too.
  • Organized 10 training in U.P. & Uttaranchal with the collaboration of Central Board for workers Education.
  • Helped in administrative work.

About the organization:

Promoted and owned by Banks and Development Finance Institutions, AFC is a Board Driven Deemed Government Company u/s 619-B of the Companies Act, 1956. Headquartered at Mumbai, the company is operating from 12 locations in India.

In its four decades of its existence, AFC has been involved in more than 5000 consulting assignments in India and also in other countries. AFC’s services has been utilized by various Ministries and Institutions of the Central and State Governments and Multi-lateral funding institutions like World Bank, Asian Development Bank, International Fund for Agricultural Development, UNDP/UNOPS, DFID, Islamic Bank ect.

The company also implements the distance education courses on AFC Institute of Management and Technology (AIMTEC) Prospectus and Form, Certificate Course in Panchayati Raj Governence, Deploma in Clean Development Mechanism, Diploma in Banking and Finance (B&F) and Diploma in Micro finance.

 

Responsibility:

  • Joined AFC, New Delhi as a Micro-Finance Consultant and assisted in writing in course material of Diploma & Certificate in Micro Finance.
  • Under Ministry of Environment and Forest I was selected as a District Project Coordinator and implemented a project ‘Small and Medium Forest Based Enterprise’ (SMFE) in Pilibhit, UP for tribal and forest community.
  • Selected and training the project filed staff.
  • During this project worked for Tribal schedule cast community of 50 villages of Pilibhit forest. Linked them with the Forest department.
  • 30 women SHG formed and mobilize them to participate in forest activities.
  • More than 250 women artisans were identified, provided training and link with the Handicraft Department. Artisan Credit Card has been provided to all artisans.
  • Conducted JFC meetings and introduced environment based income generating activities
  • Motivated minority people to join the van panchayat, voting rights and value addition in their work of natural resources. Women were trained in organic composting.
  • The project impact: Earlier forest people were not participated in the forest panchayat election but because of this project more than expected people participated in voting.
  • Other then SMFE, 10 groups have been formed Under SGSY Scheme worked with BPL SHGs formation and socio-economic empowerment. Training and bank linkage has been done for the groups.
  • Imparted two four-days training about the role of NGO’s in SGSY on 19/07/01 and 25/07/01 at Pilibhit organized by DRDA to 20 trainees from 2 blocks and 2 NGO’s of Pilibhit area.
  • Monitored the programme and the project was reviewed by DM, Pilibhit.

 

  1. @ Mahila Samakhya (Ministry of HRD):

 

About the organization:

Mahila Samakhya (MS) is a gender based programme and is formulated to create a concerted effort towards women education and empowerment. The concept of Mahila Samakhya originated from New Education Policy of (1986) which laid out the blueprint with assertive notion to address the limitations existing within society, depriving women and girls to access education.

Responsibility:

  • As a State Resource Person conducted training programmes for girls and women.
  • To visit and monitor the programme in all 6 Districts.
  • To build feministic attitude and scientific temperament in women.
  • To develop the capacity for analysis based understanding of events and incidents, to intervene in decision making process collectively to start the process of social change for equal rights, opportunity, and status for women in society.
  • To provide women and adolescent girls with the necessary support structure and an informal learning environment to create opportunities for education.
  • To create an environment where women and girls can seek knowledge and information to thereby empower them to play a positive role in their own development and development of society.
  • To set in motion circumstances for larger participation of women and girls in formal and non-formal education programme, and to create an environment where education can serve the objective of women’s equality.
  • To enhance the self-image and self-confidence of women and thereby enabling them to recognize their contribution to the economy as producers and workers, reinforcing their need for participation in education programme.

About the organization:

The Diocese of Bareilly is spread in 3 districts of Uttar Pradesh viz., Bareilly, Pilibhit and Shahajahanpur and 6 districts of Uttarakhand viz., Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital, Almora, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar and Champawat.

Priority groups- Women, Adolescent Girls, Illiterate adults, Non-school-going children and school dropouts, Agricultural laborers and Rag pickers.

 

Responsibility:

  • As a Project Coordinator- Baheri block & Izatnagar Bareilly, and Haldwani rag picker women. (2 field level centers)
  • As a Field Officer: supervised 8 local coordinators, 8 supervisors & 40 animators.
  • As a Trainer: Provided resources services, motivational training in the field level centers of 7 Distt. & more than 300 SHG members.
  • Imparted Motivational trainings for residentional 4 centers and non- residential adolescent girls.
  • As a resource person imparted trainings for the people of 7 districts on SHG formation and microfinance under Suchetna.

About the organization:

SOTEC was established in 1985 with support from Compatible Technology Inc., USA. Since its inception, SOTEC has been working with local farmers in the area. Small co-operative like societies (or as individual ventures) have been setup as a series of successful businesses, which process potatoes by dehydrating them, adding value to the farmers product, thus preventing distress sales during the harvesting season.

Responsibility:

  • As a Community Development Officer, supervised 8 staff and link 30 minority groups into the bank under NABARD scheme.
  • Motivated scheduled women to become a good wage worker and through change their family respect and income.
  • Imparted 2 days training and familiarization capsule for 14 managers/officials of State bank of India from 12 different districts at SBI staff training centre Bareilly on 13/08/2002 – 14/08/2002.
  • Mobilized women from the backward block, Bhitri Chainpur block to participate in bank meetings and trainings.
